I’ve been lucky enough to have had an exclusive first look at the new Yogi x Nigel Cabourn collection and it’s fair to say that if you’re a fan of either (or very much likely both) you are going to be in for a treat!
The environmentally friendly, military inspired leather and suede collection manages to fuse the ethos of both brands, bringing timeless silhouettes together with ultimate comfort and high levels of attention. Named the ‘Finn II x Nigel Cabourn’, the collaboration comes in four colour-ways: Navy/Black, Black/Khaki, Moss Green and Black/Black.
Nigel Cabourn has gone on record stating that he wanted to create a collection using raw materials, and vegetable tanned leathers and part recycled crepe outsoles are both evident here. The concept also features the feeling of walking on sand, with visuals representing D-Day landings and the landing crafts of WW2.
I’ve had the Moss Green in hand and it’s a lovely shoe, from a collection which I’m certain will be a huge success. The release drops Monday, 6th December at both yogifootwear.com and cabourn.com – and I recommend you cop at least one pair, you will not be disappointed!
