It’s fair to say that 2020 has been a pretty shite year. Deaths, lockdowns, struggling businesses and no pubs. It’s easy to be down. What is great to see however, is small businesses embracing the changes and creating products to fulfil new demands. One example of this our friends Casual Connoisseur and their latest release.
Before lockdown, I probably would have laughed off ever buying “Loungewear”, I have the odd pair of trackies from my football days, and the old 80s tracktops to wear around the house, but that’s about it. I don’t think I’ve bought a hoody in the past 10 years, yet alone worn one. But as working from home becomes the “new normal” my need for comfy yet smart menswear has increased. No one wants to be working from home in a 3-piece suit! Casual Connoisseur have filled the gap in the market with their new ‘Goldmill Hooded Sweatshirt’.
Inspired by the proper boss training gear from the Creed/Balboa team-up from Rocky IV, if it doesn’t want to make you shadow box to ‘Gonna Fly Now’ then I don’t know what will!
Available in Sand and Dark Denim, this is a lovely hoody with plenty of detail, from the large retro style ‘CASUAL CONNOISSEUR’ print, to the kangaroo pockets and signature CC applique logo on sleeve.
Coming in at 350 GSM weight, it will keep you warm in the coldest of days, whilst also being an organic ring spun combed cotton with 15% of it made from recycled materials – it’s even good for the environment.
If this is the future of loungewear, then sign me up!
